Mac MB920 toolbox refurb question r

Hi. I just picked up a Mac MB920 bottom box. It's in ok condition for its age. It needs some TLC. One item I am a little lost on involves the locking mechanism. This box is missing the lock and the rod or rods that connect from the lock to the locking bars located at the back of the cabinet. Is there any advice on locating replacement rods or does anyone have photos of how those rods are supposed to function?

Check with Mac tools, sometimes the tool guys can still get some of those parts

Sweet box. Try contacting MAC and Matco. The mechanism on those is a bit goofy. It doesn't use a lock bar but the top drawer should be spring loaded, which in turn folds back spring loaded tabs in the back of the box that locks the other drawers. To lock the box you have to have the bottom 7 drawers closed and then push in the top drawer which has a tab on the front that turns up. At least that is how my 79 matco MB920 is. I would imagine yours is the same. Is there a slot in the top rail of the top drawer?

I called Mac earlier today and they have a lock because it is the same lock as on the MB9200 but they did not have any other parts. Just the lock tumbler.
They also did not have any kind of diagram to show how the locks worked on this box.
Thanks for the help. I will lol at it again tomorrow and try to better understand how this lock system is supposed to work.
