Just looking for some opinions on mac's precision torque sockets.I know most like the wrenches but could not find any info on the socket sets.I am loking at some 1/4 metric and my mac guy was telling me he would make me a good deal (dont know what a good deal is, dont even know what retail is) so any opinions arw appreciated!

Btw I don't wanna buy snap ons since i cant stand my dealer..... other options are s-k or maybe some c-man usa's as I like them for the money.

Thanks

They dont need to be indestructable I just want to get myself a quality set....

That's what I'm saying. How hard can you possibly use a 1/4 set? Id go on the bay and buy USA cman or me, kobalt or anything that isn't the truck.

I have found that quarter inch drive is very important to have quality sets. Due to the fact that the fastener is so small rounding them off is a terrible thing. my gearWrench work good but I do have snap on for quarter inch and 5 sixteenths swivels. I'm on voice dictation in case you're wondering why its spelling this stuff out

I agree with you, I figure since they are my most used dr size i cant go wrong spending a little extra and not have any regrets down the line.

The precision torques are not usa?

No, Taiwan. They got redesigned this year so the ridges are biased for removal. They're made specifically for damaged/corroded bolts as they have "teeth" that bite into the face of the fastener exactly like how FD+ open ends work, just applied to a socket wall.

MAC standard 6pt are USA.
Proto and SK also worth consideration.

You can use them on anything but they're designed for removing corroded fasteners.
