I am looking into a new screwdriver set. I like the looks of the Mac hardhandles. Anyone here have them? How is the quality?

They're good screwdrivers. I own several. Didn't realize they were still available. Figured MAC would've switched to soft grip same as the other tool trucks by now.

Yea I have three hard handles and they are awesome. But note the handles are a smaller diameter than SO.

I only have one Mac hard handle screwdriver and I love it. High quality and fits my had perfectly.

I will be replacing my Craftsmans as they wear (or when I get frustrated with them) with Mac hard handles.

I am a weekend wrencher, and the Snap On dealer who services my buddies shop is a real jerk, so, I have been buying tools from the Mac guy who is great.

I have been happy with the Mac tools. Surprised there has been no Mac bashing on this thread, suspect that will start soon....

ive had a few mac screwdrivers over the years, only one that i still use is a #2 phillips.

the rest of them were relegated to beaters, chisels and prybars, after i had a handle crack, ( that obviously had not been beat on) and my MAC delaer at the time wouldnt replace it.

that was the last time i bought anything off a mac truck.

Man everyone is all over Snap On's nuts. Rediculous. Haha.

Plus the Snap On racing logo is queer. And what do you do for pcs not included in the initial set? They are not offered yet. Sure maybe in the future, but then again maybe not.

For the bang for the buck, the Mac are hard to beat. 8 pcs vs 7 pcs.

I have the Purple handled MAC Macsimizer comfort grips and they are the shizz. The blades/shaft are made in the US and the handles are UK made. I'm content with that.
MAC is good, you just have to avoid the horrendously overpriced foreign stuff. I'd buy another set of what I have if need be.

the red and green hard handle sets are possibly the 2nd best screwdrivers of all time. they are right up there with snap on hard handles
