hey guys, this is my first post, i got a master series snap on box and am just out of room, the bulky plastic cases are killer on room but yet so nice for their items, so while pricing side lockers my mac guy has a killer deal on a side locker mb1970 now i know it doesnt bolt exactly the same, but the front bolt will line up and keep it flush with the box in the front, then the rear hole i would just drill, then the same for the upper box my question is has anyone ever done it and if so do you have any pics? i couldnt find anything online i know the locker does not come with castors on macs lockers, but for the price i thought id just grab a set off ebay and bolt them in place for extra support

Ditch the bulky plastic holders for more space efficient otions. This site site has many good suggestions. Earnst , Hansen and more to start.

I’m sure many people have done it.
I don’t see a problem with it.
I think your other option may be if you are not moving the main box around you could just set the side box on the ground and use it as a storage cabinet.
I guess you could also get one of those metal storage cabinets

if you mix snap-on and mac boxes the universe will implode, cats will grow thumbs, the dead will walk, and all the cheese will go moldy

I wish I had a pic of my old setup. A red KRL1000 with a blue Matco locker bolted to it. It held the tools just fine.

The side locker is supposed to hang from the edge of the roll cab while simultaneously being bolted to the threaded inserts where the side handle normally goes. It helps that the hole spacing on the side locker matches the hole spacing on the roll cab. I suppose you could drill new holes into the side locker and nobody would know the difference.

The mac lockers , at least this one, doesn't hang on the lip. Just bolts. But I think I'll buy a couple castors and help stabilize it that way anyhow. It's such a great deal it is hard to pass up. I

The side handle mounts won't support the weight. You'd be ripping the threaded inserts right out of the panel. They're only spot welded on.
