Far as i've heard, all mac tools are re-badged. Titan has sets with the same exact handles, dono if they are the OEM but, I've seen many examples of Mac and Titan seeming to offer the same tools.

Matco also has the same handles, I thought I'd seen em before. I use Snap-on T-handle Torx at work, they are literally indestructable. I assume they offer them in allen's also. One SO product i actually do recommend.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are made in France or Italy. If I recall correctly, they look like the old SK branded Facoms. Would stand to reason, because Mac and Facom are both in the Stanley family. If I'm right, they're very high quality and I'd definitely recommend them. May be worth it to look for a Facom or old SK set, money-wise, unless the Mac warranty outweighs the difference in price to you.

Do you like you MAC Guy? Does he treat you well? If you can answer: Yes and Yes, I see no reason not to get em.
If I were in the market, I wouldnt think twice.

Not a rumor... Maybe not all but I bet at least 80% or more are available as other brands and much cheaper.

As you can see, he said all MAC tools are rebadged and he probably believes it too. There's probably more people just like him who believe all MAC tools are rebadged; or people like yourself who believe 80% are rebadged. That can't be doing MAC any good. MAC needs to have a representative respond to some of these rumors before the rumors ruin them.

The sad part is almost all mac tools are rebadged. Everything but there hard line. But only there USA made hard line. The edge hard line is forign made not sure if its rebadged though. I dont belive so. But i do know there forign made ratchets are complete ****. I would go buy a craftsman or a chinese ratchet from hf before i bought one of them. But anyway moving on those hex keys are mostlikely titan's which are junk really. I would buy facom or bondus which can be had cheap even new and are great quality and bondus is us made.

You got a point there, but lets face it, most GJ users arent serviced by a truck, those that do have a truck route around havent seen a MAC Guy since Regan was in office, there are 12 members who DO have a MAC truck but have a ***** driving it. Only leaves what, 5-6 members here who actually have a MAC Truck driven by a great guy with excellent service? So even with some response to the questions about products, nobody here would buy em anyways.

Sprinkle a little COO Bible thumping into the mix and its a no-win...I love my MAC tools, even if they are re-branded I still buy them full well knowing they are. I'm buying the SERVICE he gives me. Business goes wheres its invited & appreciated.

Who the bleep cares about rebranding anyways? Its done by everybody in all industries all the time. I dont hear no "Crying Foul" about the Blue Point Marston Rivet Gun, or a whole whack of products. Oh no, I got a Bostitch 25' Tape Measure...I coulda saved 99 cents by buying the Stanley FatMax on sale at Walmart, OR I coulda gotten the DeWalt with a coupon at Home Depot for a couple bucks less...Whoopdie Doo.

They're already ruined. They sold out like many great tool companies. There is a huge difference between now and 6 years ago on a Mac truck. I own many Mac tools and God bless my Mac guy, he warranties them no matter how crappy the are. They still sell many high quality tools but don't be surprised when you see the same tool kits at Harbor Freight for 1/3 the price. It's great to have him come around and I support him when I can, I just no longer have high expectations when I step in the truck or thumb through the flyer.
