Hey guys I have a vintage 1976 Mac tool box, how to remove the drawers ? I’m assuming its something to do with the black clips on the drawer slides . I’m also missing 3 of those clips on some drawers … where can I find them ? I hear Waterloo use to have them but they have been bought out . Any ideas ? For removal of the clips if I remember right I just put a flat blade screwdriver behind the clip adjacent to where the clip goes in the square hole in the slide and by rotating the blade and also gentle prying that clip end popped out of the hole pretty easily. Then just slid the whole clip toward the front of the box to remove the clip completely, at least that was on my Proto box which is basically the same as a MAC.

I also had missing clips so I bought new clips on Ebay. Previous discussion on the topic below.

Thanks for the info , also looks like eBay is the only source for those clips . I’m missing 2 of them

My mb8100 from 1990 uses those same clips on the small drawers. If you call mac tools they may be able to help. I don't know if they still have those but I bet mine wasn't the last that used them.

Its part number 8 on the diagram.

The poster that mentioned using a flat blade screw driver is correct. That's how I removed mine.
