It's the only good thing at the pawn shop all there other tool related stuff is way over priced. They are trying to get $500 for a beat up $150 dollar new black harbor freight box.

Around here they go for $800-$1500 on CL for bottom only. I bought one like it but triple bay on CL for $1800 a few months ago. I would say $1000 is a good price.

But it is priced at $1500 right now i should wait a little while longer and talk to the manager with cash in hand and offer $750.

No way. If it's the same older Husky/Mac set I got the old Husky equivelent set for 500 for both. That price for only a bottom is ridiculous. Although you get the possible warranty of slides, I'd pass unless WAY cheaper.

i would offer them 750 cash see what they say if you don't want to go over 1000 don't, a deal will come up just have to wait for it. I passed on the same box with a wood top and vise for 1200 guy was firm and i didn't want to pay more than a 1000 for it walked away following weekend came up on a steal snap on krl1001 and top box combo for 1600.

Maybe if I wait a few months they might clearance it under $1000 because it isn't moving at $1500. It has been there at least 3 months.

I don't know, if they're asking $1500, I don't see them dropping to $750, quite honestly I doubt they'd sell it for $1K, but good luck.

Why not go in now if it has been there 3 months. It is a large item that takes up some room. There is a good chance they will bring the price down quite a bit to move it after 3 months of being offered for sale .

Maybe I am guessing they paid $500 or less for it. I would have to talk to a manager it is one of those chain pawn shops not a local one.

You're the one who said you would like to get it for 1k. Honestly, I think $1500 is a decent price as is. At least around here. If I were looking, I'd love to be able to get a box like that for that kind of money. You might as well make a cash offer now. There's kind of an unspoken lower (price) limit to these kinds of things and anything you offer is going to be close to it.
