Mac Tool box help

I bought a mac box a few months back, and I finally got around to ordering a new lock for it. However, there seems to be something missing between the lock and the lock rod, the rod does not fully reach the lock.

I was under the impression that there was an angled bracket that joins the two. Mac customer service could not identify the part.
The box is a MB4290, does anyone have this or a similar box that they could take a look at?

Looks like you need a longer lock cylinder.

Just a guess here but it looks like you need to loosen the small set screw, slide the cylinder over the end of the lock rod and tighten the set screw.
