I have a Mac tool box and have been trying to identify it , all the boxes I,ve seen are different except one , it's a top box , it has 6 small drawers on the right side and the middle and one big drawer on the left . And three large drawers on the bottom . I don't know anything about it and when I tried to look it up I couldn't find anything . If I can I will send a picture of it .about it til now and only one picture of it .

This is a picture of the box I discussed just recently.

I am no expert on these but it is probably an MB 510 from early 70's if the quick search I did hasn't lied to me.

Also not an armchair expert... however I have both versions of Mac top chest. The drawer pulls were the long channel version on the 1980's era Mac tool chests, I believe. Oregon Rock's pic is similar to my older/vintage Mac MB510 top chest (1970's era), has the same drawer pulls. My vintage top chest is 26-inch wide.

Maybe a Mac tools aficionado can correct me on this?

What is the depth? 15" or 16"?

They have 2 different ones listed in the 1985 catalog. The top 3 drawers are interchangeable left to right. The single "shoebox" drawer can go in the left, center or right slot.

Somtimes there is a sticker behind the top drawers, stuck to the back. Pull the drawers out a little and look through the crack.

A picture would probably be the most useful thing you can provide. Toolboxes from different manufacturers can look surprisingly similar, and the drawer layout alone may not be enough to identify it.

Check the inside of the drawers and the back or bottom for any stamped numbers, labels, patent numbers, or manufacturer markings. Even a partial number can sometimes narrow it down considerably. If you post clear photos of the front, sides, handles, casters, and any markings, someone here may recognize the model or at least give you a good idea of its age and origin.
