Mac tool still box age?

Picked this up recently just trying to get an idea of how old it is. Can’t find a date code on it anywhere but I’m guessing 70s? Keeping it no matter what just looking for more information on it.

Welcome aboard. Yep, a very nice find on your part. Typically the date of manufacture on most boxes is stamped on the very lowest right front part of the box. Sometimes such stamps are light enough to the point that the paint will hide them.

the top box has a date on the bottom left side of august 1975. But nothing on the roll away. I'm assuming the same date but who knows?

The date of the bottom box has to be close to 1975. The drawer handles help to identify the era.

Earlier Mac boxes had stamped steel drawer handles.

Mac then changed to die cast handles. I think this occurred in the early '70s, but I cannot be positive. These handles have the name "MAC" above "TOOLS" with a recessed oval background that is painted black.

Around 1977-1979 Mac changed the logo on the handles. These handles have the name "MAC" beside "TOOLS" with a recessed rectangular background that is painted black.

In the mid '80s they changed to a single extruded aluminum handle that is almost the full length of the drawer.

Found these dates and model numbers on top and bottom box. Bottom is tougher to read
