mac tool tech series box lock mechanism

Hi I just bought a mac tool tech series 1000 box off a guy and he removed the tumbler lock and rod from the box when we loaded it in my truck it was unlocked well we laid it down and when I got home it locked itself does anyone know where the locking rod connects to in the back of the box or if there is a way to open the box without cutting it open

Lay it back down, lift the bottom and jiggle it until the locking mech opens up (you may need help). Then remove the top drawers so you can see inside. That's how I got a Monkey Wards box open.

Did the seller still have the lock and rod for you to hook back up, or will you have to replace them ?
