There are some nice tools in here. I've been thinking about buying a set of MAC 3/8 extensions to try out (Since the Snap On man wasn't wanting to deal). I've also been thinking about selling my MAC 18" flexhead ratchet. I bought a SF80 so I really don't need both but I'm not real sure yet. Took a count last night.5 1/4 ratchets,5 1/2 ratchets, and 10 3/8 ratchets.lol

Here is my current setup.. Had it for about 3 years and love the box I do alot of front end work / alignments so the cart really comes in handy for that working across the shop.

Used to be all snap on but our new dealer is a **** so started switching to Mac slowly. Sockets are all pretty much MAC USA or Snappy, took alot of my MB specialty sockets home.





Dual Swiveling Ratcheting Wrenches - dont use these a whole lot but when you do they are awesome.

Precision Torque Wrenches - some people have bad talked these cause they are Made in Taiwan but the quality is good, they feel good in your hand and they do the job well no issues here



Mac Edge Stubby Ratcheting - again taiwan made but totally bad *** and saved my *** a few times

Yea it's in the 3rd drawer down on the left, it's the best way to store pliers and maximize space.i wouldn't do it any other way.

I went on a mac truck years ago and I couldn't believe the amount of rebranded stuff. now I know a mac guy I picked up some stuff from him recently and found so many things I want. I like the fact that that have a lot of non mac stuff and the prices seemed pretty good. how much mac stuff is made here? I was thinking of a new screwdriver set but I thought they looked kind of cheap, especially for what they cost. how are they?

could it be possible to find out the price for MAC BWP050 1/2 impact (bare tool) for me?

I have only ever bought a single socket and ratchet repair kit from a mac truck, I don't want it to seem like I am wasting their time

Right now I got the Milwaukee 3/8 and 1/2 impacts, looking for something in between power and weight of the 2.

The mac impact states that it has 725 breakaway torque and weighs 5.2lbs.

I am invested in dewalt 20V max tools, and if the bare tool is a good price it would be a nice addition to the toolbox.

precision torque wrenches are my go to wrenches now i toss the whole set with folding rack in my tool cart so much easier to keep in order. also i hardly touch my tool box that filled with snap on wrenches now.

When I first got started I bought almost exclusively from my Mac rep. He was always just more reasonable than the guys on the other trucks. Unfortunately his truck burned down one night and he just decided to retire. There hasn't been a steady Mac presence in the area in over 10 years. Wish there was.

So my rep said she's not sure if she can get a tool only. The kit is $630 tax in. She will get back to me if she can get her hands on a tool only.

Alright, I saw on the Mac USA site the kit was listed for 599 USD, so that seems right.

The thing is for me is that I already have dewalt batteries and chargers. Don't want to add more to my tool box.

I noticed a lot of you guys don't use the MAC socket trays?? Is there a specific reason for this? These are my only MAC tools(I'm 19 and just started) but I've already used the **** out of them. Love the weight and strength for sure. I had 1 bolt that ate like 9 other sockets until I pulled out these sets.

they are good for hanging on the side of a service cart, but if you have a ton of sockets in a top drawer of your main box it doesnt work great due to the handle taking up to much room and have a "cluttered" look. Organization and a efficient setup trumps all when your on the clock

Very good point. There is also nothing worse then carrying the tray by the handle or them tipping Over away from the handle.....sockets everywhere. I thought about making the handles detachable or finding a way to lock them up buy have had no avail.

My son has the MB197UC and loves it... 199 has slight redesign by the looks of it. I actually prefer it to my Macsimizer cart which is a tad bit balky in a tight shop.

After 4yrs I finally have a decent mac dealer hopefully he keeps his route. The last guy disapeared over night ! My S-o dealer looked pissed when he found out we had a new guy and to my surprise lightly bad-mouthed him. I have a small issue with the top drawer on my mb1860's slides they don't have that slight resistance when opening. I brought it to his attention and he ordered me new ones under warranty! I am quite pleased with his service. I also ordered a new badge for my service cart and he didnt't charge me small things make a great difference! Do you guys have any problems with your dealers?.

I'd be directing money away from the Snap-On man for badmouthing some new competition without even knowing the guy. Stuff like that irks me. Everyone has a right to make a paycheck.

Yeah that's pretty surprising. When my shop got a max dealer my snap-on guy didn't have much to say about it. He didn't really seem to care.

I was surprised at the time, and the more I think about it I get frustrated he didnt seem like the kind of guy to comment on others. He commented on the mac guy being unreliable and fly by night caught me off guard to be honest. Thats ok I know what to do..... as long as he warranties tools for me we'll be fine

Well, better late than never.
It was covered in Plasti-dip.
I tried it for a while and thought it was ok but grew to not like it because it isn't quite sturdy enough and does not resist penetrating oils.

P22HD-B Bent Nose Long Reach Heavy-Duty Pliers
M6EKLQ 1/4" drive 6" locking extension... or maybe the whole set. The Snap-ons are a little bulky, these look a little more slim.
M10EDLA 1/4" drive 10" locking hand-drive extension - these look like they would be useful.

IMHO, I got a great MAC Guy and I have no heartburn with any of the MAC Stuff. Things they do best? In my opinon...
-Macsimizer Boxes...top of the line. The TECH series is built quality wise good, just sizes & drawer configs don't appeal to me.
-Extensions...classic extensions with the Knurled ring... I have the Locking Hand Drive extensions in both 1/4" and 3/8" honestly I love em both. I wish they had a 1/2" version.
-AWP050 Impact...excellent excellent Gun. I think its a step above the MG725.

List can go on...

Looks very similar to Proto's ASD design. Proto owns MAC, probably the exact design.
