Proto doesn't own Mac, Stanley owns Mac and Proto. As time goes by, you see more products shared between the two.

Looks very similar to Proto's ASD design. Proto owns MAC, probably the exact design.

I am pretty sure it's all the same wrench as the FACOM 440 which AFAIK is the original wrench. I have been tempted to pick up this set, seeing as the Mac version is the FACOM knock off.

Stanley owns all 3 brands.

I don't think any of S/BD's European brands (Facom, Pastorino, USAG) have the anti-slip design though. ...if that's what you're after, of course.

Here's a little MAC box I've had for a while. I'm just picking up pieces to fill it as I find them. There's couple of non MAC ratchets in the mix here as well.

Matching wrenches seem to be hard to come by.

The Vi-Chrome ratchet is a recent acquisition. Never heard of Vi-Chrome, except for maybe a wrench or two. Never any socket sets. Sure does look a lot like this little Bonney....

Not exactly sure of the timeline on this set. Maybe late '70s to early '80s...:headscrat

Was browsing threads and came across this one and thought I would share. I've already posted these pics to the new tool thread, but figured they belonged here too.

123 piece ratcheting screwdriver set, 8 - 19 metric flex head ratcheting wrenches and a bit ratchet:

CRTDI, that little Mac tool box with the pull out drawer is so cool, what year was that made?

I think they were made ~60's through the mid 80's. I have a older one that has the round Mac tools sticker.

Those bit ratchets are so nice. They were made by a company PTC or something like that in Taiwan.

I have a Pro Point (Princess Auto brand) bit ratchet that looks a lot like that one. I super lubed it and it has come in handy for interior panel removal. It came in a set with a 1/4 drive ratchet the same size.

The only Mac I have is a miniature plier set

I stumbled on this thread while looking for MAC tools as I have some diagonal cutters M337G that don't cut worth@#$%^&* anymore and I don't have access to a truck. Does anyone know if MAC warranties those? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

I don't have any personal experience with warranties, but have heard on this board that they are good about doing warranties.

Hmm, typed that part number in Mac's website and will not pull up. Can anyone supply a link?

There have been a lot of items that I know exist, but cannot for the life of me find them on their website, that set being one of them. Their website *****.

If you're wondering about price, I paid $119.

Hi, here's some photos of my MAC stuff, only got three things off the truck when I was working in the US back in 2003-6. After looking at the drills the guys in the shop were using, I bought 1/4" and 1/2" air drills:

I'm really happy with them, they are quality drills:

I also bought a 24" long 1/4 knurled extension, for getting at hard-to-reach aircraft fasteners - another nice quality item:

Most of my stuff is old (1960s-80s) Britool - the really good stuff, with a smattering of Snap On, old Kamasa (W. Germany) and Elora. The MAC stuff certainly lives with this company for a weekend warrior like me.

Cheers, fanders

Here are my sabina macs. One of the 27mm is factory bent "angled" version. Use them for early vw link pin spindle nuts.
I also have a sabina 7mm wrench not pictured.

As far as normal mac goes. I have quite a bit. I think more than matco or snap on

Where's the matching sockets for the ratchet?

Not yet made. This ratchet was one I have had for years where the chrome was starting to wear off, still smooth but you could see the nickel below. I had all the chrome stripped and then it got plated in NP3+
