Mac Toolbox paint recommendations

Bought this Mac Tools MB 9100/9200 for $300 on FB Marketplace. The box is in great condition except for the paint (and lid "braces" that were broken). When I attempted to clean it with diluted Simple Green, the paint started to come off down to bare metal (repainted at some point?). I now plan on stripping and repainting. I have an HVLP system and just wanting to know what type of paint to use. This will not be a "show piece" but a working toolbox. Wanting to know what type of single-stage paint to use.
I spoke with Mac Tools (technical dept) and ordered the lid braces and inquired about paint. They stated that they send folks over to Sherwin Williams. The color is Fire Brick Red (*NOT SW standard color Fired Brick Red).
Recommendations for Enamel vs Urethane? TIA- Mike

I've got the older brother to your bottom box and it's got the same crappy paint on it. Wipes right off. Mac did not use good quality paint on this era of boxes. I just use mine as a heavy duty roll cart so the paint would take a fair bit of abuse regardless how good the paint is.

MAC standard red is such a beautiful color, there's no way I'd paint it anything else. I'd get the paint custom mixed to match.

I hate to paint.
But enjoy a good enamel oil-based for the ease of application and end result.
I have also had good results from SW urethane paint - I think their product line is called Emerald.
Beyond those I would not know what to consider.

2pack epoxy gloss is what I tend use .
single stage is way better on a tool box, easier buff out a scrape or touch in a chip .
