Hey guys I just picked up a 1976 Mac tools top box for $50 (CDN) and it’s been sitting for years so I’m going to clean it up and put it to use , but how do I get the Mac tools emblem badge off . I tried hitting it with a hammer to no avail … any ideas as I don’t want to break it . Thanks 63336E14-0D63-4642-8EC3-ABB85601ADA3.jpeg

the washers are toothed and bite into the protruding stud, you want try pry the tooth parts up a little with small pick or small screwdriver and once a little loose should be able back them off then reshape the washer teeth to refit .
Got be carfeful as may bust studs but if doesn't damage through to front you could put back with adhesive at worst .

They're a style of push on retaining ring. You can get behind them with a screwdriver. If you cant save them any decent hardware store with a good selection of fasteners should have them. They're often with the push nuts. You'd definetly find them online at McMaster Carr so i wouldn't sweat it if you need to snip them to relieve the tension
