thanks for posting farmall... ive been looking for a compact 1/2" drive ratchet, looks light these will fit the bill nicely, plus i wana get a hold of some more stuff from mac.

I don't think they have been made for a few years now. They are also called "Precision Series" under the Proto and Stanley names. They weren't known to handle even moderate torque very well.

Home Depot sold them under the husky pro line for awhile. I liked them and had a 3/8 and 1/2 ratchet but they are super fine tooth and the 3/8 wore out pretty quick.

I had one I bought around 2002 ish. It was certainly slim, but I severely disliked the direction control and sold it on the ebay. I remember warrantying it early on because something went wrong in the gearing. I think there may be a tiny but loyal following out there somewhere, it brought decent money. I but 3/8 guts in a Hard Handle 1/4 drive SO to replace it.

I couldn't either. It could be they were discontinued, but they're still for sake online (as well as their variants) in some oddball stores.

I've seen a few people say that, but I'm thesecond owner and these have yet to balk.
