My MAC dealer mentioned several months back that MAC was planning to reintroduce their hard handle USA screwdrivers by summer/fall 2026. He had the first set on the truck today! It looks like they will be available in multiple color options as well as different configurations. These are my favorite screwdrivers, so I'm excited!

They leaked a small photo online a few weeks ago that they will have a set in pink for October. I was thinking of grabbing them if the handles are comfortable. I’d like to get rid of my Vessel drivers and I’m hoping these will work. Did you get them in your hand at all to get a good feel for them?

I also heard about the pink set, and asked him to put my name on the list.

I didn't ask to handle them, and he was busy helping others in our shop. They look exactly like the last batch MAC sold a little over 10 years ago... same handle material as well.

This is good news. I've been looking around for some Mac hard handle screwdrivers but all I find are all worn out and beat up. I don't need more screwdrivers but I would be interested in a small set.

Wow those look great in red / gold! May need to try these...

I do wish Mac would release the Pentagrip hard handle screw driver set in the US though, love how those feel

They are nice feeling in the hand, but for me they require a lot of grip strength to bust a tight screw loose. 4 semi-smooth sides are hard to grip tight especially with oily hands. Still looking for a couple orange handled Phillips to complete a set.

I thought so too, bought some, and they are fine. I don't perceive them to be substantially better than a set of Kleins. But they are very affordable at Japanese prices.

Nothing comes close to Snap On screwdrivers IME - though given what they cost, nothing should be as good.

I have wanted a set of the MAC 12 box end wrenches with the above screwdriver handles for a while...maybe they'll bring those back!

The #2 phillips handle is a little on the skinny side, but the #3 phillips handle is the perfect size. Extremely comfortable.

The 1/4'' wide straight slot blade will have the #2 phillips handle and the 5/16'' wide straight slot blade will have the #3 phillips handle.

They are ok. I’m not a fan after having them for several years. I needed them because I work on Japanese-made industrial machines. But I have since discovered that several other brands work just as well. Personally, I find the steel a bit soft, the handles slippery, and the Impacta ones aren’t really that useful.
