Can anyone identify the model and year of this Mac Tools cabinet? I did not find any stamped identifiers. The measurements are 26.5”W x 32”H x 17”D. 6-drawer with friction slides. Notice the shape of the handle. Saw same handle in Mac catalogue that appears to be 1970’s but not same box. Drawers lock via rear center mounted up and down slide.
Lock Assembly;
Purchased flat key lock directly from Mac with rear 5/16” 18 female threads. Bought 5/16” 18 threaded rod from Home Depot. Bent one end of rod to engage slide mechanism fully. Then cut rod in half and added same size coupler, lock washers and nuts to keep assembly locked in place. Lock washers and nuts will be needed behind the lock and on both sides of the coupler. Install with cabinet upside down so you can see the whole assembly. Hope this saves someone some time.
