Mac tools turn around time for warranty?

It is me or MAC tools turn around time for tool replacement warranty takes forever!

5 weeks and counting for a few tools to be replaced.. still haven't received it yet.

Does this happens often with your MAC tool guy?

I always send them to MAC as the only tool guy we have had that is still in business is Cornwell all the others have gone belly up many times over. When I send something in to MAC if it is in stock it is very fast less than two weeks door to door.

It takes two weeks when you send them into Mac.I only had a few that took a little bit longer,an XR8 ratchet the cover plate kept on coming loose and one of my father's punches he broke.They were both on back order.I just had a an 18mm deepwell impact socket that is wore out,a broken T25 torx bit socket and a T30 torx bit socket about to break to Mac tools today.

If you're sending them in through your Mac dealer and not directly dealing with the company, that's flat out unacceptable IMO, and he should be doing a better job of taking care of his customer.

If my mac guy doesn't have a replacement for me on his truck he gets it by the next week. The one exception was my EM110 amp meter that got rebuilt, that took 2 weeks.

I warrantied a ratched that broke in 2. It took over 5 months for the MAC tool truck to get it replaced.

On a side note. SO and Matco man have it the following week.

mailed in warranty takes about 1.5 weeks. Had similar turn-around time with Cornwell and Matco as well. If it takes your dealer that long simply never warranty a tool through him again.

I was a little mad that he didn't show up last week after saying the following week that the tools should be here that week. So I was hoping to received it last week but he didn't show up at all. So this week, I was really looking forward to having my tools back but the same old excuse. He said he sent them out already.

Didn't purchase no tools from him just for the fact that it's taking so freaking long to replace some of my tools. One is a 1/4'' IR Air Ratchet that I use very heavily. The housing somehow cracked, so I"m getting this lame excuse about "excessive usages". How can a tool be labeled as "excessive usages". I would think it would be under "Manufacture defective" instead.

I mailed in a cracked socket once and had the replacement a week later.

You need to raise some hell with customer service people!

Sounds like your Mac guy is one of those tool dealers who won't be in the business of dealing tools for much longer.

Considering the main reason why he comes here is ideally to sell me tools. I'm the main guy here since the other guys doesn't even bother purchasing from him. I would think he would at least rush the defectives out and have them for me within 2 weeks is understandable. Not 5 weeks + and counting.

Once in awhile, you have some random guy run up to the truck and purchase something in full.

I think my boss has some warrantied items as well with some items that was ordered a few weeks ago, he's been asking me about when was the last time Mac tools showed up since he's not in the shop much.

I'm no special guy or anything, but I just don't appreciate the long turn out time for warrantied items. It took so long, I purchased a Cornwell Tools 1/4'' Mini Air Impact Ratchet for the hell of it so I can get the job done while waiting for the IR 1/4'' Air Impact Ratchet to be fixed due to the case cracking while under use.
