Just a little update.....I still have yet to receive my other item from mac. We are getting close to the 2 month mark. I called today and it keeps getting pushed further ahead on the backorder date which is now march 3rd. Ugghhhhhhhh

Wow, I know it's a special socket but it is on page 652 of the 2013 catalog. You'd think it would be in stock.
Imagine if there was a customer's car waiting for that one specialty tool in order to be fixed.

I really do like your experiment here, Please continue to keep us posted.

Thanks....I was really impressed with receiving the first item in almost less than a week from when I sent it in but now this is kinda ruining it for me......
It's not really a type of tool that you need. It's just a nice to have type thing....with this being said it's not really a big deal but still.....;(

I doubt they make that socket in house, probably waiting on a Taiwan OEM that they have no control of.

No wonder you always hear about empty MAC trucks and why MAC dealers are always up in arms with corporate!

Well another update.....I still have not received the one item I have been waiting for. The batch that they supposedly got in the beginning of march....I did not get any of it because there apparantly were people waiting for it before me that took higher priority(I find that hard to believe)

I called today and they said April 7 is when the next batch is due in. This is really getting absurd.

That 90 day wait stinks, but at least they remembered you were waiting 3 months later! That in itself is impressive.

I've got nothing bad to say about Mac warranty....treated me right for years.

Did you guys contact Mac before sending your stuff in? Or did you just pack and ship? Just wondering because I have a few sockets that need to be replaced and a small inch pound torque wrench that needs the head rebuilt hopefully its warrantied..

Hurray! Glad ya got it.
I think someone over at the plant spilled their coffee on the specs. chart and they had to re-design the socket from scratch :lol_hitti.

Seriously though, if others were waiting for that same socket they were probably dealers who had it on back order.

I didn't contact them prior. I just packed up my stuff and mailed it in. Follow the directions on their website. They want a piece of paper inside the package with the tools with certain information on it.

Same here.....took two weeks for new tools to arrive. No complaints about Mac mail in warranty here.

I feel tho they could of did a little more on the customer service end for the multiple times they gave me false hope of it arriving. Maybe a % off coupon or gift certificate for the website
Even something like "well sir since u will be waiting for a little while yet for it could we offer you this tool here for 50% off which would help you get the similar job done"

I have dealt with tons of companies in my life with different things and the ones that have actually made an effort especially in situations like this and went above and beyond....they are the companies that will grow and you remember them and how good they are and make you want to give more business too. All the other ones just get lost and forgot
