Looks like it's still nearly impossible to perform searches and find things. I expected nothing else from a tool website. Matco's is nearly unusable as well.

Usually the only way I can find things is to find the part number in the online version of the paper catalog and then search for that exact part number.

looks better, but same thing underneath from what i'm seeing. still a pain to deal with. from my experience, the mac site is useless unless you have a part number, the matco site is slightly better but not much, although at least it has a good tool box "builder" with prices, and the snap on site is decent for finding stuff but lacks a good tool box configurer. they could all use some updating beyond cosmetics.

Seems a little better, it was sort of pointless trying to use it before. I always liked my Mac stuff, but i do wish they would add a COO on the site, im usually a little apprehensive if i dont have a chance to talk to a rep beforehand,( no mac driver)

Matco's isn't too terrible and you can always use the hyperlinks in the online catalog.

Snap on website search function is also pretty crappy. Ironically, HF website is pretty good. Its search function work quite well. The product has a pretty picture that can be zoom in. It has downloadable manual and user reviews.

Looks the same to me. They still don't have an active online catalog. You have to download their catalog in PDF format and the visual clarity of that PDF is lousy.

Best manufacturers website seems to be gearwrench. I love how you can narrow down tools by fastener size or similar criteria. You can see easily everything they have to tackle a 13mm bolt, or everything you can put on a 1/4 drive ratchet, very practical to see what out there and how to improve access for commonly seen fasteners on whatever you work on.

They have a wishlist similar to Snap-on's and Matco's but they make it a bit difficult to get to. Yes, when you add something to the wishlist, it takes you there but just try and get to it directly. There is no link that I could find to go there directly. I had to bookmarked mine to get to it.

It was like that before and it's still like that. I even sent them an email to bring it to their attention awhile back but they never fixed it.

I am on Snap on's, Mac's and Matco's sites most everyday trying to price tools for resale. I would rate them as Snap on best, Matco second and Mac third. One redeeming point for Mac is if you search a part number and it is superceeded by a new series, it will sometimes redirect you to the new series, not always though.

Mac did at one time have prices for their boxes on the sight, but quit that over a year ago or so.

Always complain to my snap on guy about this. Everyone hates the site
