Maybe they finally went bankrupt. Did you ever see all the suits brought against them by their franchisees. Youtube has a bunch of angry drivers explaining how the company was in dire straights.

I was just kidding about the bankruptcy.....but seriously check out youtube. There's a number of videos from past/current drivers hammering the company. Some of them make mention to class action filings.

Looks like they are probably rebuilding the site. A driver round here recently "retired" due to lack of sales, and there being about 7 or 8 snap on drivers around. Probably be up in a day or so. In the mean time if you need service call this # Mac Tools Directly @ 1-800-MAC-TOOL (1-800-622-8665)

From my 15 pluse years of buying stuff from Mac, I have always seen the same thing, Mac had terrible inventory control. Im sure other companies do this too, but Mac does a run of product X and stocks the shelf. When it runs out, they appear to be in no hurry to restock until the next scheduled run. Dealers plain and simple have a hard time getting stuff.

Still not working from my home connection using www.mactools.com

If you're really desparate to use their website, it is available.
However, pinging the website gives me an IP address of 67.192.111.129

Then, typing http://67.192.111.129/ into the address bar gives me success!

So, if you're really desperate to use their website:
Some of the links on that web page point to "www.mactools.com"....
So you need to type (or paste) over "www.mactools.com" with "67.192.111.129"
and you're good to go. Most of the links are already using the IP address.
There's a way to redirect your computer automatically by editing a file. I wouldn't suggest doing that in this case.

I'm sure some of you were thinking why were you even going to the mac website then...Anyways I just happened to go to the site and it was down and I wondered if the masses on garage journal new anything about it. thanks for all of your input
