Hi all, first time poster and didn't see this when searching previous threads. I just purchased a Mac Tools TWX100FC torque wrench and was wondering whether Mac builds their own torque wrenches or if they were rebranded from another division of Stanley like Snap-On with CDI torque wrenches. Thanks in advance for any help, there's a lot of great information on here! :)

On a side note I think I got a good deal on it for $58 as it looks almost new and have already tested it against my Snap-On to find that it is still perfectly calibrated!

CWP1616L, thanks for the quick response. That explains why the head on this wrench look similar to the couple of old Proto ratchets that I have, and why the mechanism is buttery smooth like them.

For USA tools Proto and MAC are pretty much made under the same roof today in the Stanley tool works facilities in Texas so when it comes to things like basic ratchets (30 tooth models anyway), sockets, and wrenches, they're actually identical.
