Probably a newb question, but I don't know the model # to assist in a google search, and I can't find any other pics of the same 52" double bank with both banks the same width. What is it, and what's it worth in good used condition?

i dont know what the situation here is, but to me it really looks like this:

http://www.homedepot.com/p/Husky-52...h-with-Solid-Wood-Top-Black-75809AH/202906828

(dont look at the top one, go down to look at the discontinued one)

with some MAC badges added to it.

here is the image from the hd web page:

if that is what it is, new it sold for about 350$ (the replacement is 329$). i cannot help with the value of the MAC badges.

They are right it's a husky Mac clone hope you didn't over pay when you bought it thinking it was a Mac. I did hear I think that Mac did make some boxes for husky but they did not look like any Mac sells that I could see. Around where I live you could get 275 for it but please don't say it's a Mac and ask for more we frown upon stuff like that around here. Id take Mac emblems off and sell seperatly.

Thanks for keeping me out of trouble. It's on my local CL for $300. The price just seemed like a killer deal until I couldn't find any that looked like it on Mac's website or a Google image search. That's when I started to get suspicious. Thanks again, guys.
For the record, I did not buy, and even if I had, would not be trying to sell it as something it's not.

i will note that i looked at that "family" of husky boxes when i was thrashing about tool storage this summer.

they were nice, and had some features i liked, soft close drawers, as an example. they were competitively priced. list price was about what sears sold comparable craftsman boxes for on "deep sale".

i didnt end up going in that direction. but i still dont think that those boxes would have been a bad choice.

Mac never offered that style so very easy to say it's not mac. Funny thing in thinking it's a husky. At one time tlmac's low line, the economizer was the exact same thing as husky boxes. This is back around 2000 when husky was trying to be the next great USA house brand.

I stopped in to a HD tonight for something else. They had one of these boxes out. It was a higher quality, better made piece than you might expect, as was mentioned above. My only real problem here is that the guy is trying to get new price for a used item by saying it's something that it's not. Don't know if he's doing it intentionally or not.
