I find them too small to hold all the sockets I have so it's a waste of money for me. I have the screwdriver holder they make which is real nice IMO.

Yes they are great holders with a strong magnet on the bottom. In my opinion, they make more sense than the Hansen holders do.

Welcome to the board.

MTS holders are great stuff and I have more than a few. However, they do have some limitations though. First, they take up much more space than rails. Secondly, you can't adapt or really tailor a holder to a specific set. Lastly, they're ok for most chrome sockets but, impact sockets may or not fit depending on brand even though MTS make specific models for impact sockets. Shop around for the best deal from tooltopia and other online vendors because at about $20 a pop, the holders add up fast. If you visit the MTS website, they list the possible storage sizes for each holder. Vim Tools has a new magnetic rail system out called the Magrail. You may want to consider that too for a more flexible storage option. It isn't cheap either though. www.vimtools.com

I just bought mine at SJ Tools (http://www.sjdiscounttools.com/tool-storage-magnetic-holders-socket.html). Like said above, they don't handle all the sizes, but I wanted something I could leave on the top tray of my cart. I don't need all the sizes on the cart so these should work out well. Just got them and haven't had a chance to set up the cart differently yet. I had seen in the "show us your carts" thread how a number of guys had there sockets in the top tray and I thought that would be better than always having to open a drawer and then searching for them in the top tray after I pull them out of the drawer.

i think that next to the original metal trays that socket sets used to come with, the MTS holders work the best for daily use sockets. i have several of them, been using them for 15+ years. i especially like them in my service truck, the holder and sockets stay where i put them.
i use rails/clips for very seldom used sockets, original steel trays and MTS for everything else.
for home use i bought a bunch of hansen trays on clearance ar sears several years ago, steel rails/clips from SO for partial sets, couple extra steel trays for mixed sets.
