Thanks for the heads up. I wish him good luck. Closed my machine tool shop in 2000 and had a heck of a time selling off the equipment for more than yard sale prices. Seems as if it's not CNC, nobody knew how to use it.

Or didn't think it would make them any money. Machinists cost more to hire than machine tenders.

a liquidator probably snagged it

I have a friend who's a machinery broker and most of the older manual machinery goes to Central/South America and Southeast Asia.

And you'd cry to see how little he pays for an entire machine shop. He only sells off the larger machines and has a warehouse full of smaller stuff he can't be bothered to clean up, photograph, list and ship.
