Machined jack extensions

Tired of playing around with stacked 4x4s and other items to make my jacks tall enough for trucks and Jeeps. Making extensions for me and my friend. Machined and welded. Here are the machined extensions. These are 8-1/2" and 4" extensions. Use this information at your own risk

I am sure 2" will work. Look at the bottom of your saddles and make sure they don't have a protruding weld around the saddle pin. My Napa has a smooth transition from the bottom to the pin. You will need to cut a relief in the extension or find a different saddle. The round stock I used started out at 3-1/4" OD.

Seems you can always find a project for a lathe when you have one.

I understand the stability aspect of it and can find a suitable solution. It's just that I bought several bars years ago for a project that I needed a stable axle. Every once in a while I need some small pieces but still have a bunch of it just laying around, might as well do something constructive with a few feet of it. But thanks for the concern.

Made some brackets to hold the extension when not in use.

I knocked out my axle adapters a few weeks ago. They were a good excuse to fire up the lathe and welder:

Very cool. I don't know though, it would probably make me work a little slower than having the impending doom of that wobbly 2x4 wedged under the trailer hitch.

That's awesome, I've been thinking about building something similar to lift the front of my twin-I beam F-150.
