Im trying to integrate a fob access control system with various machinery(mill, table saw, etc) So Im looking for something similar to what you see in home depot for the panel saw where you have to enter the combo to enable the power. Only instead of a combination it would turn on when a dry contact opens/closes or something similar.

Thanks

Well, the "switching" (meaning on/off through contact) could be done simply by controlling the coil voltage of a contactor/motor strater through your dry contact. Assuming the contact ratings of your dry contact are adequete.

A fob control system to control the above said dry contact is a whole different question.

If the machines have magnetic starters, all major control manufacturers make key operated push buttons.

The key operator is a Allen-Bradley unit, the other ones are Cutler-Hammer.

That saw is in storage, as it was replaced with a 1974 vintage Rockwell Unisaw, the mushroom head operator makes it EZ to use the knee to shut the saw down, used the same head on the Unisaw but did not install a key switch as hung a combination starter on it so the saw could be locked out if desired.

Do you know if that key is a key switch? Or is it the type that has a cam on the back that pushes a button? As far as fob system I have that squared away, I do access control for a living but typically only control doors not machinery but the concept is the same.

It has key, it was wired into the control circuit of the magnetic starter.
