Finally got to go to work after 4 month layoff (for now at least) This weeks project is to rebuild a hydraulic rotary manifold for a crane. Sorry for the couple of bad pics that were done with my phone. I'll post pics of completed project next week if anyone's interested. First pic is the old spool made from old leaded type material that had crystalized and commited suicide. New spool is from 6061 aluminum.

Thanks for the offer but I no longer own this stuff, and there's not much of a workload right now. Where are you located? Are you currently working as a machinist?

I live in Rialto, and work in Rancho. i wouldn't call myself a machinist by any means, although i do spend a good portion of time on a mill and lathe. I actually do more design work for aftermarket auto parts (twin turbo and supercharger systems) I've just been picking up the machining side in the last year to help develop the prototype parts.

I am always looking for more people to recommend to the boss that can do small production runs of parts or that can make things that i can't do in house. A reasonably priced company that can cast aluminum is what i really need right now if you happen to have any abilities in that area.
