Fowler digital verniers. Both work very well. No battery covers,b ut have the rubber gasket to hold it in. $20 each

Mitutoyo 12" verniers. Work ok. no binding. Missing the tab to hold the depth rod down. $45***PENDING*****

German verniers. I have not looked them up to see what they actually are. Very interesting item. $40
