Macsimizer value & comments

I've been looking to upgrade my work tool box for a while. Keep watching craigslist & going back & forth on what I want. Right now I'm using a 40" husky 10 drawer I bought a couple years back when I was in an express type of environment & the guys with nice boxes complained about people leaving oil jugs... On them so I figured a top & bottom would solve that problem. I don't like the layout & it's about full so now I can buy what I should have before. I have looked at used classic 78s & others of that grade but don't want another stepping stone or to have to add on. I just looked at a macsimizer I think is an older mb1350. It's 67x27x48 ish. The guy bought it new about 15 years ago. Feels like a tank. Detents are good & no major damage. It is in a body shop & shows some age & I think the slides need to be cleaned out. Asking price is 1500 firm. That's at the top of my budget & I think it's a good price for the area. Just wanted to try & get some feedback or opinions before I call him back. Hoping to pick it up Tuesday if it hasn't sold.

I have a 1350 I bought 15-18 years ago. Worked out of it every day for over ten years, hobby box now. I've never had any sort of problem with it, did notice when I was cleaning it the other day the finish is getting a little tatty.

Wouldn't take $1500 for mine so that seems like a good deal to me.

Thanks. Boxes like kra, 4s & tech 1000 usually go 1200-2500 around here so even if I could talk one down to a grand it's not as much box for the money & may need to be upgraded in a few years. Also seems well cared for. All drawer liners look new. No rust, dents or major scratches.

In my opinion, the Macsimizer is the very best box money can buy bar none. Buy it, clean it up and use it for the rest of your life. Sounds like a very fair price.

I currently have a KRL, but truth be told, I only bought my KRL cause it was cheap. I wanted a Macsmizer, still want a Macsimizer, and eventually will get myself a Macsimizer.
Want a like new KRL?
