Made a Bead Breaker

I patterned this after the R & R Bead Breaker that's sold in Australia. It still needs some fine tuning, but it got the job done. Not as well as the original or a Bead Buster, I'm sure, but the price was right.

Yes - the hook, nut, and washer are borrowed from my OTC engine support. I milled a flat on the aluminum "rocker" and drilled a through hole in it.

Just put a 2 X 6 up to the bead and drive up on it, works on the toughest tires.

This has worked well for me.

I've tried the usual suggestions, driving onto the bead, using a hi-lift jack, tractor bucket edge, etc - all with unpredictable success.

Not usually, but yes it can happen.
