Any Rotax fans here? I've been sorting through "stuff" in my shop and trying to get more organized. Putting things where they belong and trying to cull stuff I don't need taking up space. So, I had spare "scrap" parts and thought....."hey, I'll make a clock". This is a Rotax 717 front stator cover and the "numbers" are bolts from the same engine.

A good job. Did you have-to mill-out the circle concentric to the hands-pivot hole?

Rotax/Bombardier, home of moving-across the snow. Among other things. Didn't Bombardier invent the snowmobile? I rode a Ski-Doo in the early 1960's by Lake Ontario. It was a cold ride, as you would expect. I was pretty-impressed for being a kid breaking into double-digits.

Be sure to post your next ones.

Pretty groovy man!

I had that motor in my old 96’ SPX. Great motor! Delicate driveline!

No milling, just old fashioned compass, protracror, drill press, and taps.

Thanks, and yes, the drivelines require a precise alignment.

Here's one I made from a used Audi LMS race car brake disc and a spare bit of carbon fibre I had lying around

Also, very nice!

Nicely done.
I made a clutch clock for my son. The disc came from his G35. I will try to dig up a photo of it. The hardest part was finding a clock mechanism with a long enough shaft.

Nice! A clock is the one tool that we use every single day.

A dozen or so years ago I made my shop clock from a busted transfer case adapter. I glued all the chunks back together and glued a delrin disc into the center. I stole the movement from a cheap clock and painted the hands red. I have added hour marks since this picture was taken. It's been the one and only clock in my shop all these years and keeps excellent time.

There are some awesome ideas for clocks here. The one I use was a gift so I will have to stick to it even though the last thing it is is original.

My simple garage clock, a bit of wood, plexiglass, a battery powered movement
and hands from an inexpensive plastic wall clock and a metal sign I won as a door prize at a car show.

A friend of mine made one from a Jaguar oil pump. Not sure which engine type.
