Will these work in any 16 mm hole ? I have a Langmuir Arcflat table. I assume the plug is tapered.
I sent some plugs to a tester with a Primeweld table which I believe to be identical (aside from the nitride coating) and I am waiting for the tester to receive them and give me feedback. I will update you when I hear back. Thank you!

These plugs would really be handy as my table is sitting on a desktop and is my primary(only) work space so I do a lot more of repair work etc on the table top than fab work and it's quite a ***** to try and lift the table to like you say get the screw that fell thru the hole.
I will wait for your response.

Oh yes, fixture table plugs will change your life! Here's to hoping the 16mm Siegmund plugs will work, but if the geometry needs tweaking I will get it done quickly. Thank you for reaching out!

Austin, if you make a 28mm for the Siegmund I am in for some. While I have a 3D printer I would rather spend my time designing other things and also like supporting another small business!
Thank you very much for your interest and support! I certainly do plan on making some for 28mm Siegmund. In fact, I already have begun the prototyping process for them. Stay tuned, I'll keep you up to date here.

Most tables refer to 16mm as 5/8" and vise versa. I know, they arent technically the same dimension.... But heres hoping they can cross over to 16mm tables.

Good product idea, glad to see a GJ guy jumping into this arena

And whoever mentioned the 20mm woodworking crowd (torsion box / Festool MFT / Paulk ) is spot on,
that crowd eats up anything like this. There is a huge market for 20mm.

Yes, I believe the Langmuir/Primeweld tables mentioned earlier are guilty of advertising their 16mm tables as being 5/8". Thank you for the supportive comments. I'll have to check into the 20mm woodworking stuff since now a couple of you have brought it up.

Just a brief comment as one thing jumped out at me re: packaging.

My first thought was "How many in the box?" Maybe you could add the qty to your next label print tun.

Best of luck with the product. I can easily see the need.

That's a great point, and I think I initially intended to do so and simply forgot. You're right - mental note to add to the next run of labels. Thank you for the support!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to drop in and share that I've now verified that my 16mm plugs work in Siegmund, Langmuir, and PrimeWeld tables. So @Retroman sorry it took so long to let you know, but my 16mm plugs will work in your Langmuir ArcFlat.

I'm also very close to releasing 28mm Kovosu (and now West Weld) plugs. I'm having the packaging labels made right now. Look for them to be on my website in 8-10 days.

Also note @rharman I did include the package quantity on these new labels. Thanks again.

I wanted to also share some pictures and information about real world use of my Fixture Table Plugs in my shop.

Earlier this week, I had a production run of 30 parts that were short circuit MIG welded on my table, as well as metal finished in some spots. One stage of the welding had the weld joint elevated off the table to where I did not need a barrier between the part and the table. I took this opportunity to allow spatter to accumulate on the table surface, where you can see how the plugs were unaffected. What this also shows is a large reason why I created Fixture Table Plugs, the precision holes are completely protected from that welding spatter attaching itself and created a problem for tool insertion, requiring you to clean out the holes.

When I was metal finishing said parts, another area that inspired the plugs was shown. The grinding dust/grit/debris remained on top off the table surface, rather than gunking up the holes or falling through the table, coating whatever you store below. The plugs also made it much easier to broom off the top surface of the table, since it was not interrupted when sweeping.

I just ordered some for my ArcFlat table. My table is just about my only work surface in my small shop, and I'm sick of losing small fasteners etc. through the holes when assembling/disassembling something. I had considered making myself a top out of some sheet material when I found this thread. I'll give this a shot and see how it works. I'll report back when they arrive!

Thank you for your orders, gentlemen! I'm excited to hear about how Fixture Table Plugs improve your time in the shop. You guys both are like me, where my fixture table is my "do everything" table. I believe there are a whole lot of us out there that can benefit from my product.

My order went in Saturday looking forward to plugging a few holes. I now need to clean underneath my table which is bit of a chore lifting it.

Plugs arrived! Made a quick video about my initial impressions. In short, I think these are going to be exactly what I needed. I mentioned in the video that I've thought about making a topper of some kind, but that has its own drawbacks. This seems like the most flexible solution, allowing any portion of the table to be used for clamping while at the same time preserving areas that can be used for other purposes where the holes are an annoyance.

I'll follow up after I've had a chance to use the table more, especially after I do some welding. My guess is that the table is enough of a heat sink that I won't melt any of plugs, but I'm curious to see what happens with spatter.

Wow, this is a really fantastic review man! I can't tell you how much I appreciate the feedback and the time that you took to make that video. I watched it on the TV with my wife and kids and smiled the whole time.

Do you still have my business card that came with your order? I would love to talk to you on the phone if you have some time to call the phone number on my business card. If not, let me know and I can send you a PM.

Thank you!!!

My plugs arrived yesterday and put them in this morning. Perfect fit and no more lifting that heavy table to find the small screw, washer, Etc. that drops thru the holes in the table. Simple, efficient solution to a problem.

Thank you for your order and review here! I'm happy to hear that they fit well and are eliminating a frustration in your shop. It's really nice to hear that folks like you are getting the plugs and using them to improve your shop time.

Did a little unintended "heat test" yesterday while helping a friend make an anvil out of a piece of railroad track. After both cuts, the piece was HOT but didn't seem to affect any of the nearby plugs. Also an action shot of "popping" out a plug to install a clamp.

Announcing 28mm West Weld/Kovosu Fixture Table Plugs! They are officially available to purchase on my website. My friend Colton (@steel_concepts_atl on Instagram) has already plugged most of his table and is loving the ability to tear down his drill press without fear of dropping parts through those massive 28mm holes.

Hey, I'm pretty sure that my new 28mm West Weld/Kovosu plugs will fit your 28mm Siegmund table well. I have a 28mm Siegmund fixture here that I use for test fitting, and it seems like the hole diameter/roundover is equal to Kovosu. Would you be interested in test fitting a pack of them for me? I would mail them out for free, of course. You can send me a PM if you're interested. Thank you!

Yesterday a gentleman from the YouTube channel Tetanus Time Restorations reached out to me to share his latest video project - a rail track anvil he made. If you watch the video, you'll see that during the project David visits @GeoBruin 's shop where my Fixture Table Plugs are featured while plasma cutting a portion of the anvil. Check it out, it was really neat to see my product in another YouTube video! Thank you to David and BJ!

I am woefully behind on posting this as I wanted to thank Austin for sending me a sample of the plugs that fit a Siegmund 28mm Welding table. As you can see by the wear on my table I use it almost almost daily so it was nice to see that even with gunk and dirt the plugs popped in with no issues and worked great.

IMG_7303.JPEG

The fit was tight but not so tight you couldn't pop the plugs out if you needed access to the hole for clamps jigs etc..

IMG_7304.JPEG

Austin even included a nice little pick to be able to pull the plugs out which was a nice surprise and made it a breeze to remove the plugs that were further in to the middle of the table.

IMG_7305.JPEG

The only downside.... I decided I need to install them across the whole table which means I need 238 more! 5 more packs will give me a few extras for when I will invariable lose some in the future!

Thanks again Austin, its a great product and I appreciate the opportunity to test them out.

Fantastic! Really glad to see that the plugs work well in your 28mm Siegmund table and according to your feedback I can now list that option on my website. I'm also grateful to you for being willing to test them and for sharing the results here! I received your order for the plugs to fill the rest of those pesky holes too - thank you! I will get them in the mail tomorrow.
