Hey guys. Been looking for a vise for a good while and will continue to look but ran across this in CL. Is it worthy of some elbow grease and a resto or would you pass?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1327682264.640704.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1327682275.825473.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1327682287.005306.jpg

Her is the listing. I was going to offer $50.

"Vise is marked MADE IN ENGLAND. 5" jaws, open to 8 ½", stands 10" tall, 20" long. Needs to be cleaned. Weighs around 50lbs. Asking 75.00."

It has "Record like" features but I'm not sure if it is. It might be one of their many spin-offs (Paramo, Woden, etc.). I would say it's worth the price EXCEPT for the holes that are in the top. I'm not sure why any one would have done that.

Also, If it's "MADE IN ENGLAND" it would be a vice ... as oppossed to a vise.

^^^ It depends on where you are from. British Commonwealth countries use viCe while viSe is correct in the U.S.A.

p.s. - To the OP ... sorry ... I didn't mean to take this thread in a different direction.
