Sears now has a nice line of USA made Garden tools. Made by Ames. Ive seen similar tools Rebranded Kobalt or Husky at Lowes and HD, but theyre USA with Global Materials. The Craftsman tools are all Made in the USA. This new line seems to be replacing their formerly Mexican made line. Someone at Sears finally got something right!

Harry Epstein has some very nice, and cheap, USA made garden trowels. This is just one a few they have.

They also have French-made Bahco pruners that are very nice.

I have several of the fiberglass handled Craftsman/ Ames they are great! Lifetime warranty to boot! I also have the Craftsman fiberglass handle go-devil (splitting maul to non-Appalachain Americans) which I highly reccomend!

I have the Craftsman shovel and rake, it's made in the USA they go on sale for $17 every now and then that is when I bought them. Cheaper than Home Depot's line. Good heavy duty quality stuff.

They are the exact same tools. I have one Craftsman shovel and one Husky. Identical in all material ways. I too noticed the difference in marking re COO. I assumed that Sears employed a more liberal policy on the made in America marking.

Last time I had a cheap hard tined rake the head snapped in two. I replaced it with the craftsman "double play" USA made one and have been pleased.

They could have... I would expect if they put a big USA on em that they would be 100% usa made, but it wouldnt be the first time sears has lied to us.

But some of the tool line this new line is replacing was USA with domestic and foreign components, so idk.
