How does Snap-On get around putting a country of origin on the Williams stuff? I picked up a couple things on the cheap and they feel and look nice, but there is no made in... stamping on the tools.

Maybe we can get a made in the U.S.A. versus assembled in the U.S.A. sticky going?

It's not just williams but the simple rule of thumb is if a williams tool does not say USA on it it is made in taiwan. In their catalog all the USA tools are indicated, also if a williams tool has letters in the model # it is made in the USA if it is all numbers it is taiwan.

Thanks for that tip lipadj46. The quality does not feel bad or cheap for a tool I suspected was not made here. It will serve my purpose, I try to buy %100 USA tools. Unfortinately I can get 10 average made anywhere but here tools for the price of 1 made in America. Sad Times.

I have been buying alot of Allen brand made in the USA sockets lately, very impressed for the price. What is the public opinion of the Bahco tools stamped USA?
