Mag Drill Magnet Won’t Turn On

I have a couple of Hougens and this big *** Milwaukee that I can barely lift. So I saw a deal on a Black and Decker for $75. Well, why shouldn’t I have 4 mag drills!?! I tested the drill part on the garage floor, paid the man, and took it home. Come to find out, the magnet doesn’t come on!

I’m no sparky, so I don’t really know where to start the trouble-shooting. Anyone know something about magnets?

This one was made back before B&D started making toasters. So it’s a real tool. Very heavy.

The guy said I can bring it back if I want to return it, but I’d like to get it going if it’s an easy fix.
