Looking to finish my walls off with magnesiacore and would like some feedback from others that have done the same. A few words here and there but no designated thread... Stuff is expensive, was it worth it would you do it again?

Walls are 16 on center, trusses 24. The 9mm board should span the 24 without sagging and without the need of furring strips or am I asking too much of the material?

Did those of you that have done it have boards ending on studs like gyproc or in between with pieces nailed in back for support?, both horizontal and vertical? If so how much more beyond the actual square footage of the area to be covered did you need?

Looking for fireproof walls/ceiling, what did you do to the joints, leave a gap and fill with x filler or but them together with a little epoxy to seal the deal?

This would appear to be the ideal material for garage. Lets here it. Better yet let's see it.

Thanks,
Will

Ok, need a bump and here is a description of magnesiacore

Cut and pasted from their site.

Magnesiacore (TM) Technology uses proprietary processes with magnesium oxide compounds to deliver a multi-purpose, versatile, non-combustible, and unique board material. This integral, hard, inert and paperless construction panel has superior characteristics over panels made from gypsum, cement, clay or wood and/or paper particles. For an easier, better and faster job, use Magnesiacore for all your indoor and outdoor construction.

USE 9mm (~3/8") Magnesiacore instead of 5/8" (~16mm) gypsum drywall
USE 9mm (~3/8") Magnesiacore instead of 1/2" (~12mm) cement board
USE 12mm (~1/2") Magnesiacore instead of 5/8" (~16mm) particleboard

...to receive an environmentally friendly, salt, fire, moisture, heat, mold resistant construction board that insects and rodents can't feed on, and a better impact resistant, higher sound attenuating material.

Going on two weeks for Canada post to get the product samples to me.

I've been in contact with the company. Looking for feedback from people who have actually done it, I'd prefer comments from the real world rather than their sales team.

It's getting cold at nite and I want to finish this thing, If it takes much longer I'm going to go the plywood/drywall route...
