Obviously I don't know how to search for it, but I'm sure it exists. It has to.

What I want is a standard 1/4" drive socket, sized for a 1/4" hex so that I can use it to drive 1/4" bits. Easy enough, I have many of them. Problem is, the standard sockets are not magnetic so the bit falls off.

For example, I have a nice set of Wiha Torx bit sockets, 3/8" drive, sized from T20 thru T55. I also have a set of Wiha Torx 1/4" bits from T5 thru T30. I can use a typical bit driver for these, but if I ever need to use a 1/4" ratchet with them, I want to be able to keep the bit attached.

Any pointers?

They come three ways in the 1/4" drive chrome bit holders I have seen:

Spring wire to hold the bit in.
Magnet to hold the bit in.
Magnet AND spring wire to hold the bit in.

I have all 3.

Snap-On does magnet IIRC.
Low end Taiwan tools do spring wire.
Some Mid level tools do both (milwaukee does it on their hex bit holders and they annoy me), although archaic as it is.

I suggest magnet Snap-On bit holder socket if me.
