I am looking for a pair of small, flex-arm lamps with magnetic bases that I can attach to my lift to illuminate the underside of my car while I'm working on it. Most of the stuff I've found is halogen based and designed for mounting on drill presses etc.

Does anyone know of a source, retail store or on-line, for these?

Thanks in advance,

Ray

All of the ones that I've seen are also intended for machine use. Let me know if you want a few of those links to Enco and MSC pages.

I posted my setup in here somewhere. I use a pair of florescent 4' shop lites mounted to the posts.

Click on my name and look through my posts (not that many) or do a regular search "lights lift" or something similar should find it.

Doing some more digging, I found these:

Heading into town on Monday to take a look.

I have that exact light I bought for a bench grinder. It's small like a machine light and probably won't light a large area so may be hard to aim were you are working if under a car and attaching to a lift. That what made me look at hf and find that clamp light that I posted. But they are cheap enough for you to give it a try. I bought mine I think about 2 months ago from a sale flyer for like 4.99. I just looked in the two latest flyers and I don't see them on sale anymore.

Bought one on sale for $9.99 and so far so good. Holds well and mounts right to the Kwik-lift. Light isn't great (like daylight) but adequate for my needs. It sure beats holding a flashlight in one hand and a drill in the other.

For $10-bucks, I'm happy....
