I have a Magnetic Drill but I'm looking for something where I can raise it higher and still use the magnetic grip.
Right now I have it on a steel table. But with the chuck mounted on the drill it leaves no room underneath to place an item.
I was thinking like a small metal table that I could fasten to the larger steel table That would lift the drill higher so that I could fit things underneath the chuck.
I could move the drill to the end of the table and let the chuck extend over the table. But then I still need something to hold the item on that I would be drilling.
There just is little room for drilling when the drill is in it's upright position.
I understand why the use for mag drill . I'm just trying to get more usage from it by using it like a drill press on a stand.

Put it on a drill press table and you will have lots of adjustments possible.

I have clamped blocks to a steel table and used my mag drill locked to the blocks. The workpiece was clamped directly to the table next to it, up on parallels so the drill wouldn't go into the table. You just need a stepped steel surface of any kind. Here's an example:

I welded strips to the long edges of one side of a small piece of 5/8" plate. I tacked this assembly to a round air tank and then I could use my mag drill to cut a clean hole:
