Does such a thing exist? I use a lot of 6-32 and 8-32 set screws (1/16 and 5/32 drivers) when rekeying locks, and having a magnetized driver would be awesome so I don't drop them!

To clarify I am taking about magnetic Allen wrench drivers.

Big question is, do you have to get into recessed fasteners a lot or is most of what you deal with flush mounted?

If flush, I;d just buy a good handled bit driver that comes with the 1/4" drive recess and just use 1/4" allen/hex bits in the sizes you need. Want to spend a little more go ratcheting screwdriver/bit driver, and they too have the built in magnet that magnetizes any bit you use which in turn holds the screw in place.

Hex bit kits can be had on the truck or even at Harbor Freight all day long BTW.

If doing recessed fasteners, sometimes the bit holders/drivers are to fat to get into the recess.

if you want actual handled hex drivers in each metric size, you'll have to buy a magnetizer as mentioned above.

The fasteners are not recessed, they are on the tops of lock cylinders.
I did not think about just getting a couple insert bits and putting them in my SO ratcheting driver (magnetic)
That would probably work just fine.

or just drag the tip of your current driver across a big ol magnet from a speaker (or somethin of that nature) several times to magnatize your tips, works great for scewdrivers, torx drivers, any carbon steel based tool,,if they get weak just repeat the process, i keep a big magnet i took off a bad speaker stuck on the side of one of my older tool boxes just for that purpose

Yep.

I keep several of the "security bit sets" around that have everyting in one clamshell. I have a couple of sets from HF, a couple from Naro AV Brand (Taiwan), and one from Snap-On.

Keep a set around along with the ratcheting screwdriver and I'd call ya good-to-go.

Going to order some from McMaster-Carr tomorrow (payday)! I keep a security bit set in my sound toolbag, never know what I might have to take apart.
