Magnetic Starter Cover Help

I'm having a heck of a time tracking down a lid to my magnetic starter. Someone lost it prior to me buying it. Its a Furnas starter. The metal tag on the rear portion of the housing says 14DA12BA. We will be wiring up the compressor in the next week or so (and tidying up the wires).

I would like to have it properly covered before we put the compressor to use. Anyone have any suggestions or happen to have one laying around? I've checked ebay with no luck.

I'm not sure where your at but I would suggest you contact Western Enterprises in Riverside Ca. They've been in business for close to 30yrs and have a massive collection of used equipment. If that's a no go search out used breaker and machine control companies.

I had to get a new one for my compressor as it was rusty. I called a local air compressor shop and they had whole new boxes they took off for whatever reason. They gave my a new one and I remounted the starter. Just a thought vs trying to track down a covere

This is an excellent suggestion. Those mag starter boxes are so brand specific that it might be near impossible to find a replacement lid.
