Magnetic Strips? Holding tools with magnets?

Hi,

I inherited a 18" x 1 "long strip of pretty strong magnet that is bolted to the wooden workbench. It is pretty handy for putting screwdrivers, and other tools while I am working.

Is there something on Grainger or somewhere else that would have it? I stopped at Home Depot but they did not have anything like that.

I have 2 of the HF ones mounted under our kitchen cabinets to keep our kitchen knives. They work fine.

Ikea has one with a stainless cover. It's really sharp looking, but no more sticky than the HF one.

I use one in my shop for screwdriver bits, and another for my chisels. With the one for the chisels, I have a strip mounted under it for the handles to sit on, so they don't slide off the magnet.

Yep you are correct the HF magnetic strip is on sale got one yesterday for $4.99. Will be going back today or tomorrow for a couple more there strong little things and easy to mount.

I bought the HF magnetic tool strip and it was not near as strong as the ones that I bought from sears. I attached them to a shelf on my workbench, see the attached photo. I am really happy with how well they have worked out.
