I've been tasked with finding one of these as a gift from my mother to my father. She saw some on one of those HSN shows or something, and she thinks it's something he'd like, which he probably will. Does anyone have one of these, or have any recommendations? This particular type has the magnet on the light end, as well as on the housing, from what I'm told. There are dozens on the web; I was hoping for some insight from the members.
Thanks.

i grabbed one at tractor supply a couple yrs ago, one l.e.d. in the center of the magnet, just like a regular extendo magnet, a larger one, but it works great.

A lot of parts stores carry one from "Performance Tool" that is surprisingly good for the few bucks it costs.

I've got a Bluepoint that has been with me for quite a while and seems a little heavier duty than most.

I've got one that has magnets on both ends, tele's out, and has a flex piece on the head end with three LED's.

I've got it at work, so I can get the mfg. tomorrow.

Mayhew makes one that's magnetic on both ends, telescopic, and equipped with a gooseneck for flexibility. It uses little batteries which are $$$, so maybe just save the lamp function for when it's crucial. Use a drop light or regular flashlight when possible.

This is the same as the one I've got except mines blue. Very handy to have.
