I think you missed your mark. OP is wanting to use magnets to organize his tools. But thanks for the Brownwell info.

WTF! This is one of my awkward moments! Like the Twix commercials! I didn't look at the link. (I don't like HF) I thought that he wrote: Magnetic bit holder. Because I am an addict to them.:lol_hitti

Define weak? That one is holding an 18" scewdriver, the big hammer is 3 Lbs, and the socket is a 3/4 drive.

I have 5 of these banging around and will probably never use them. If you are interested, PM me.

I agree with outlaw.

I have serval of the HF magnetic rails. I did get them as XMas or holiday cheapie gifts from relatives but there is very few items they will not hold.

And price, of course, is as cheap as they get.

Lots of price valued magnetic holders out there.

Simple and cheap these days.

HF ones are strong enough for the type of stuff you would want to put on there.

I guess that i am jus comparing them to a few old ones that i have. The old ones are probably twice as thick. I will get a few from HF and try them. Thanks all

I was just at HF picking up an emergency needed cheap tool. We checked out the magnetic tool holders while we were there. The tools we put on them (wrenches, pliers, cutters) kept sliding down and some kept falling off. I thought they were pieces of ****.:shocking: Maybe some are good and some bad.:dunno:

I found that the Grip brand are strong, I have 8 of them. The only thing stronger would be rare earth magnets on a rail.
