Magnum air compressor manual please?

I was given a 5hp 35 gallon magnum air compressor and I'm trying to find a manual for it. Any idea where I can get one? I tried looking online and I'm not having any luck.
It seems like there is a ton of water in the bottom of the tank and I took out the screw in the bottom but nothing came out. the screw screws into a fitting on the bottom of the tank but I'm kinda scared to take it out. I also lost some oil when I transported it to my house and the sight glass isn't showing any oil. I'm not sure if the oil level should be measured when the compressor is hot or cold.
Thanks for the help
Joe

Did you ever find a manual for this? I just grabbed the same compressor for $20 and want to make sure of parts and maintenance. Runs great after repairing a brittle electrical wire.

One other question, do you know what belongs on the brass fitting in this photo?

Thanks!! So I'm guessing it needs a filter of some sort. I'll keep searching for a parts source. Seems to look an awful lot like the Kobalt LLA1683066.

Did any of you guys ever find the manual for the Magnum 5hp 35 gal compressor. Also, I know the 5hp motor at 120 volts will not work, not as a true 5hp motor anyway. Mine motor is shot and will be replacing or repairing it and changing it to a 240 volt one.

I just picked up this compressor from a friend and know that one of the start-up capacitors was replaced. If someone could shoot me a picture of the originals I'd greatly appreciate it. Original 5hp motor seems good, just needs a little help to get going.

Every manual for an air compressor that I have ever seen is 95% legal documentation stuffed to the brim with safety warnings.

Since most compressors are a combination of sourced parts researching the pump model# and data plate on the motor will get you all the information that you need for any repair/parts and maintenance.

Yes, if you post better pictures of what the pump looks like, maybe somebody on here can identify it for you - then you will know what it is so you can order parts if you need any.

The check valves are generic, look for one that is the same as what you are taking off.

This is pretty standard stuff that. Post a picture and someone should be able to help you out or do some Google searches for the part and match pictures. Find a manual for a similar looking compressor and most of the info should be the same. Most compressors have multiple brand names and share the same components as others.

It might be a different story if you're trying to rebuild one or its really old.

Did you find a book yet? My tank check valve is starting to go.
Does yours look like this? I bought a non working one from auction and the black wire isn't connected in the box.
