One of the guys on another thread here suggested I start my own thread of my garage. Well lucky for me, I have 2 which just means an absurd amount of unfinished projects get thrown into both places

My first place is an old tobacco warehouse from the 1920s, which then became the city bus depot, and then an automotive repair shop up until I bought it.

While I haven't done as much work on the place as I would have liked, progress is happening again. Instead of working on the building I'm working on a ton of other projects.

Here is my "home" garage which gets just as much work as the big one. Typically I keep my smaller projects here or whatever current motorcycle I'm working on.
A couple weeks ago I finally got my home gym setup in there as well. It's just about perfect. I have internet and TV in there, a beer fridge, pool table, ping pong table and some cool artwork.

Both of the E39s are mine. The sedan was a 540i 6 speed which was involved in a bad wreck. The wagon was 2000 540i automatic. I ripped the transmission and what not out of the sedan and put it in my wagon, so I could have a V8 6 speed station wagon. It's 1000 times better with a manual. Cool.
I know. Mine was an automatic, but I drove a 540i with a manual gearbox and it was a lot better.
Mine was the same color as your sedan. Aspensilber Metallic if I remember correctly.

Wow, I'm surprised your wife let you have the whole home garage since you have the big garage... I know my wife would be parking in the home garage if I had a dedicated shop.

Was the Corvair left in the warehouse garage when you bought it? Are you trying to lease out space in the warehouse? I noticed a realtor sign on the side of the building after you had replaced the doors.

Why do you say it's not restorable? No title? Looks to be in pretty good shape for the age of that bike.

Honda Dream 305?

My 65 CB450 was worse off than that and restored it. We were able to source almost all the missing parts from local salvage shop (pre-internet).

This project is not for me this time. A neighbor has commissioned my services on this.
Should be a pretty cool outcome. I'll post some pictures when it's done

Spent all last night machining parts for my '88 Yamaha RZ350 build.
Im mounting a suzuki rgv250 (vj23) swingarm on the RZ. While the width of the swingarm is fine the stock pivot bolt is too narrow. I happened to have a pivot bolt sleeve from an FZ600 laying around, which i turned down on the lathe to make it all work.

Next up is getting the rear shock mounted. The rear shock i'll be using is off of a Yamaha R6. Many bikes have sacrificed parts for this build

Its a popular upgrade if you got the gumption to go through the hassle. Probably weighs about the same as the RZ but i can get way better rubber selection for the rear wheel and its way stiffer.

The view is a bit exagerated with nothing else on the frame

A while ago, a good motorcycling friend of mine gave me some leftover parts from builds he has done over the years. I have always thought that the BMW Speedos with the speedos in the bucket would make the coolest desk lamp. Well this isn't a bmw headlight and speedo, so the BMW purists can rest easy. It is a headlight from a mid-sixties Harley Sprint. It had a great patina when it was given to me. It just needed to be cleaned and clear coated.







This is how the headlight came to my possession. Luckily, the headlight switch was still operable after some cleaning. Really the most difficult part was figuring out how the switch operated and what wires and connections I would need to still use the headlight and power a 120VAC bulb.

The headlight bucket got a wash and light scrubbing with a scotch brite pad. Several coats of clear later and the 50+ year patina really popped. I am really quite pleased . with how it turned out. It sold really quickly to a gentleman in a motorcycle facebook group I am a part of. I will be making more for my etsy shop, so if you are interested head there. Trident Cycles Etsy

This is the other bike I’m working on. Which actually be a running bike.
My buddy picked up a yamaha sr250 for his first bike and has given me free reign to do what I see fit.

Custom cosmetic job. With a little boost in power. It’s super squared away which makes it all a whole lot easier

I’ll try this for a second time

I’ve been working on my 1967 BSA 441 Victor recently.

Decided to go a slightly different route than I initially planned. Even though it was all original and only missing the speedo, I love the looks of the old school race bikes with the long travel suspension and high front fenders. So repliracer here we come.

I’ve got the bike completely stripped. After it was stripped I saw the rear fender brackets were broken or missing on the frame. I’ve spent the last few days fixing them.

I just got it back from powder coat today. Defensecoat industries in Richmond, VA does the best powder coating in the area. The owner is an awesome motorcycle dude as well. He’s also the owner of Atom
Bomb Cycles. Check out his work, it’s killer stuff.

I'll probably still have it hanging around... It will be the very last bike out of the 8 or 9 I ill build and that's if I don't add any more to the collection before then.

I've decided to build my own curing oven, blast cabinet, and spray booth. I'll break even on bike number 4... and that's without doing any projects for friends...

I like the direction the BSA is going!

While I’ve been away from this post. We’ve gotten a new puppy and she is the best. But had to build a gate for between the house and garage so she couldn’t escape. I couldn’t bring myself to get a **** Home Depot Gate so I drew something up in autocad and had it water jet cut out.

Been a while since I’ve updated.
I’ve been slowly chugging along with the bsa repliracer. The motor is 98% disassembled. I did find that one of the stator mounting positions on the crank case has a small crack will have to get welded up at the machine shop.

Luckily this is a fairly small issue compared to the matchless problems.

Other bits have been going the bsa as they allow. I got the 35mm marzzochi forks mounted up with little trouble.

New fenders from speed and sport. The rear has been trimmed and drilled and is ready for mounting.
