That's exactly how I did it. I ran 2- one for the electric and one for the cable/network wiring. The conduit is hidden in the wall and makes for a clean look.

Only reason I can think of is if you didn't stay on top of your concrete sub to follow your instructions. Doh! But I'm not bitter...

Since you don't have a footing, there isn't a ufer ground available. You'll need to drive ground rods instead. When the ditch is open, drive the rods in the ditch, and take the ground wire up with the conduit and into the panel.

U can do it like that.

Add two 1" conduits for communication cabling...
Definitely add in conduit for communication. 2 1" conduits seems a bit much, but conduit is cheap when the trench is open, not so much after you close it. I recently trenched to my barn/shop for a solar install. They put in 2" I think for the power (solar & 125@ service) & I have 3/4" in there for Ethernet and/or phone.

Definitely better & more future proof than the old direct bury power & phone line. I can pull the old & install new without retrenching (pulling into an already filled conduit *****, even with a pull string as it wraps around itself).

That's the way I always install them looks much nicer on outside of building. As others stated would definitely throw in a spare pipe or 2 for future stuff.

Definitely agree with that as well. Don't forget to put pull strings in. I ran an air hose, cable tv, network, and alarm wires in a second conduit when I built my detached garage. I definitely use the cable and alarm wires.

Do you have trouble with the air line filling with condensation. I have been considering this to feed air from my shop to the garage at the house but have been concerned with it filling up.
